1. Withdrawal for Cause
Student shall be entitled to immediately withdraw from the Course by giving written notice to Uptrend College under the following circumstances:
1. Uptrend College fails, for any reason, to commence the Course on the Commencement Date;
2. Uptrend College fails, for any reason, to complete the Course by the Completion Date;
3. Uptrend College terminates the Course for any reason prior to the completion of the Course; or
4. Uptrend College is in material breach of its obligations under this Agreement.
2. Refunds for Withdrawal for CauseAfter receiving the Student’s notice of withdrawal (only for reasons mentioned in Clause 1, and in any event no more than seven (7) days after receiving such notice) refund to the Student:
1. The entire amount of the Tuition Fees and Deposit; and
2. The Non-Tuition Fees and/or Additional Fees*.
3. Withdrawal Without Cause and RefundsWhen student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those set out in Clause 1, Uptrend College shall, as soon as practicable after receiving the Student’s written notice of withdrawal (and in any event no more than seven (7) days after receiving such notice) refund to the Student

4. Cooling Off Period
Uptrend College shall provide the Student with a cooling-off period of 7 working days after signing this Agreement. Within these 7 days and regardless whether the Course Commencement Date has passed, the Student can submit written notice of withdrawal to the Uptrend College and receive the Maximum Refund amount stipulated by Uptrend College under Clause 2.4 of the student contract (less any Course Fees consumed by the Student if the withdrawal date is later than the Course Commencement Date and the Student has started the Course, any PEI administrative charges which are stipulated in the Miscellaneous Fees and any applicable bank administrative charges properly paid/payable under Clause 3 of the student contract). Any dispute in respect of how much Course Fees have been consumed pursuant to this clause may be referred to mediation at the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) or Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) through the CPE Student Services Centre pursuant to Clause 5.3 of the student contract, and only in respect of such decision, the decision of the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) or Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) shall be final and binding on all parties.
5. Non-Refundable FeeCourse application fee is not refundable.
1. Student Requests for Refund
- Fills out relevant sections in Request for Refund Form (Form 4.3.2)
2. Course Coordinator Checks Alignment with Refund Policy and Submits Recommendation to Management
- Fills out relevant sections in Request for Refund Form (Form 4.3.2)
3. Management Approves/ Rejects Request
- Fills out and sign Request for Refund Form (Form 4.3.2)
4. Inform Student Outcome of Request
- Return to Student Copy of Request for Refund Form (Form 4.3.2)
5. Pass Form to Accounts Department for Processing of Refund, if Approved
6. Pay Student (by Cheque)
7. Student Acknowledges and Signs Receipt of Cheque
